Day 255- Nutrition Bite

Excess sugar is turned into two types of fat-- triglycerides and cholesterol. This piece of information tells us sugar is more harmful to the body than fat. High fats in your bloodstream are also damaging, but high levels of sugar in your bloodstream will damage you first. The harmful effects of rapidly digested carbohydrates are especially important for people who are overweight.

I guess this is a reason the Atkins diet and other diets have high success rates. Many of the diets on the market are low in carbohydrates and high in protein and fat. Sugar converts to fats before meat and other foods. This is another reason to eliminate or reduce sugar!!
