Day 241-Nutritional Bite

The average American will consume more than 4,500 calories and 229 grams of fat on Thanksgiving Day alone, according to the Caloric Control Council. Surprisingly most of these calories come from the all-day snacking in front of the TV while watching parades and sporting events.

Sugar Preacher's Experience

I don't think that I've ever consumed 229 grams of fat in one day. When I did a 200 mile race, I probably came close to consuming 4,500 calories. Tomorrow, I think that I might gather some stats by food journaling my families' eating patterns. I'll do it very discretely which will make Thanksgiving Day more interesting. Well, avoid snacking on turkey day if you want to avoid gaining a few extra pounds.
