Day 193- Nutrition Bite

Is juicing fruit good for you? Fruit juicing is certainly good for you, but it has one disadvantage over vegetable juicing-- fruit juice tends to increase insulin levels when consumed. However, vegetable juicing is great because it is an important source of raw food. Juicing is an excellent way to make sure you receive large quantities of raw foods.

I decided that I needed to start eating more high nutrient foods such as kale, swiss chard, spinach, etc... In order to get adequate amounts of these leafy greens in my diet, I started juicing them. I made a delicious drink made with kale, parsley, frozen berries, and orange juice. I mix all types of fruits and veggies together in the blender, and most of the combos taste great!!
