Day 176- Nutrition Bite

"BOO" to Halloween candy!! Halloween is the holiday with the most candy sold -- $21 million per year. The average household spends $18.07 on Halloween candy each year. Purchasing candy to hand to trick-or-treaters can be expensive and not to mention unhealthy. Try handing out alternative snacks to trick-or-treaters such as individualized packaged pretzels, gold fish, carrots, etc...

Sugar Preacher's
Experience
Okay, I walked in the local grocery store and was tempted with the mounds of Halloween candy. I plan to avoid all local grocery stores until after Halloween. Whole Foods and Good Earth didn't have Halloween candy on display. The natural health stores will be my hang out for the next month.
