Day 173- Nutrition Bite

Ann Louise Gittleman, Ph.D., says "cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg increase your abiliy to metabloize sugar and remove it from the blood. In particular, cinnamon has a sweet, satisfying and familiar flavor that many associate with holidays. In addition, bay leaf, cayenne, cloves, corainer, dry mustard and ginger help regulate blood sugar levels."

Sugar Preacher's Expereince
Spices are a great sugar substitute especially the ones mentioned above that can help regualte blood sugar levels. In the morning, I put a dash of cinnamon on my oatmeal instead of honey or sugar. The cinnamon is sweet enough to satisfy the sugar craving.
