Day 166- Nutrition Bite

Many cracker companies have started offering whole wheat or multi-grain variations. Pepperidge Farm goldfish crackers are merely following the trend. One serving of Pepperidge Farm whole grain goldfish crackers (55 crackers) contains 140 calories, 5 grams of total fat (8% of the RDA), 1 gram of which is saturated (5% of the RDA), 250 milligrams of sodium (10% of the RDA), 20 grams of total carbohydrates and 4 grams of protein. Unlike regular Goldfish, the whole grain version contains 2 grams of fiber.

Sugar Preacher's Experience

At the grocery store, I purchased the whole grain Pepperidge Farm goldfish crackers. I was surprised how good they tasted with a mild wheat flavor combined with the traditional cheddar flavor. The whole grain variation also provided more fiber. I'm not really a fan of processed food, but we might as well choose healthier variations if we choose to eat that type of food.
