Day 159- Nutrition Bite

Many people use food for comfort when faced with a difficult problem or when trying to stay occupied.
Emotional eating is a method to suppress or soothe negative emotions; such as stress, anger, anxiety, boredom, sadness and loneliness. Emotional eating can also sabotage your weight-loss efforts. Often, emotional eating will lead to overeating, especially high-calorie, sweet, salty and fatty foods.

Sugar Preacher's Experience
Today was a very stressful day at work with high school students. I was craving ice cream and felt like emotional eating. On my way home from work, I stopped at the Good Earth health food store and enjoyed a 100% natural coconut fruitful popsicle. The popsicle was sweetened with fructose instead of sucrose and hit the spot. Healthy sugars can appease those emtional cravings!!
