Day 136- Nutrition Bite

You may wander what is considered a banned substance or what level a naturally occurring substance in your body is considered an illegal performance-enhancer. The 2008 World Anti-Doping Code Prohibited List of banned substances is 11 pages long. This list does not apply to the day-to-day athletes. However, it is good to be informed regarding substance abuse and the olympics. Sugar Preacher's Experience
I haven't had any experience with the substances listed on the Anti-Doping Code. But, recently I resorted to an antibiotic medication after trying every natural remedy. Consuming prescription medication is a rare occurrence for me.  However, after taking the medication, I felt better within 24-hrs. The miracles of drugs! I definitely think drugs are abused and there is a time and place for them. I highly suggest taking probiotic such as yogurt to balance the system. An antibiotic can destroy all the good bacteria right along with the pathogenic bacteria in the body. With probiotic you will flood the body with good bacteria. If you take an antibiotic and probiotic together you can balance your system!
